When Michigan Central Station was nothing more than the blight of Detroit, I was fascinated by it. In the early 90’s, I would take endless drives through downtown, look for a home in the Boston Edison District or run red lights on Woodward just to see if anyone cared. In 1993, I drove my dad’s 944 through the barriers blocking off the entrance to central station and was amazed.
